Biography

Returning starter at right guard for the Bulldogs...played in 11 games and finished the 2011 season starting the final four games at right guard...named to the prestigious 2012 Allstate/AFCA Good Works Team, one of only 22 players nationwide across all football divisions...very active in service to his community, organizing teammates on regular visits to the Veterans Hospital, along with outreach to the Boys & Girls Clubs, reading in Des Moines Public Schools, visits to Blank Children's Hospital, Meals from the Heartland, Thanksgiving meals and with a traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall.

2012 — Given the Gene Schutz Award at the annual Channing Smith Banquet...named to the prestigious 2012 Allstate/AFCA Good Works Team, one of only 22 players nationwide across all football divisions...vote for Zach HERE

2011 — Started the final four games of the season at right guard, and played in three others in a reserve role. Part of offensive line that helped Drake rank 17th in the nation (FCS) in passing (272.5 ypg) and protect quarterback Mike Piatkowski, who was named PFL Offensive Player of the Year.

2010 — Played in four games in a reserve role.

2009 — Redshirted.

Prep — Named Class 1A first team all-state by the Illinois High School Football Coaches Association...earned News-Gazette all-area honors in 2007 and 2008...two-year all-conference offensive team in addition to all-defensive team accolades as a senior...selected to the Order of the Eastern Star all-star game...starter on the Tuscola High 2006 Class 1A state champion team, as well as the 2007 runner-up team...team captain as senior...selected as Illinois State Scholar and IHSFCA first team all-state academic...member of National Honor Society.

Personal — Law, politics and society major...named to 2010 and 2011 Pioneer Football League Fall Academic Honor Roll...recipient of Drake Presidential Scholarship...son of Mike and Mindi Bosch...born in Nov., 1990.
