DES MOINES, IOWA -- The Drake men's and women's track and field teams won four individual events during the Friday session of the 32nd annual Jim Duncan Invitational Friday at Drake Stadium.

Leyden Tolhurst (Auckland, New Zealand) won the men's 5,000-meter run in 15 minutes 2.56 seconds, while freshman
Adam Oestreich (Bettendorf, Iowa) was fourth in 15:17.42.

Nicole Braunsdorf (St. Francis, Wis.) won the women's 5,000 in 18:16.08.
Drake freshman
Meredith Bell (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Washington) captured the women's 10,000 in 41:00.96, while sophomore
Tara Scieszinski (Albia, Iowa) was second in 41:33.68.
Drake sophomore
Courtney Heinz (St. Paul, Minn.) won the women's 3,000-steeplechase in 11:33.89 with freshman teammate
Casey McDermott (Newton, Iowa) second in 11:42.34.
Activities start at 8:30 a.m. Saturday with the last race scheduled at 6:17 p.m.
The university and college field includes Augustana (S.D.), Bethany (Kan.), Buena Vista, Central, Faith Baptist, Graceland, Grand View, Iowa , Iowa State, Iowa Western Community College, Minnesota, Northern Iowa, Northwest Missouri State, Northwestern (Minn.), South Dakota State and William Penn.
For the first time ever, a high school division has been added to the 32nd annual Jim Duncan Invitational on Saturday. Participating teams are Des Moines Hoover, Des Moines Roosevelt, Dowling Catholic, Fort Dodge, Indianola, Johnston, Marshalltown, Mason City, Ottumwa, Urbandale, West Des Moines Valley.
