FORT MYERS, FLA. -- The Drake women's golf team closed out the fall season by finishing eighth in the 15-team Florida International Pat Bradley Invitational Tuesday.
The Bulldogs carded a 302-295-300=897, while Furman won the team championship with a 290-288-292=870.
Senior Olivia Lansing (Dellwood, Minn.) led Drake by tying for 20th overall with a 76-73-74=223. Drake senior Elena Vukmir (Wauwatosa, Wis.) was right behind in 23rd place with a 74-76-74=224. Drake senior Kelly Godwin (Centerville, Minn.) tied for 32nd at 76-73-77=226.
Junior Michelle Mathwick (Greenfield, Wis.) tied for 49th at 84-73-75=232. Junior Kaitlyn Mauk (West Des Moines, Iowa) tied for 56th at 76-77-81=234.
Started in 1977, the Pat Bradley Women’s Invitational is named after the LPGA Hall of Fame golfer and Florida International's first-ever All-American and member of the school’s Hall of Fame. Host Florida International was the defending team champion
