DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake men's tennis team was recognized for its efforts on the court this past season as the Bulldogs were ranked No. 4 in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Regional rankings.

Drake, ranked No. 47 in the final ITA national poll, was rated fourth in the Central Regional behind Oklahoma, Tulsa and Minnesota.

Individually, junior Anis Ghorbel (Sfax, Tunisia), the 2012 Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year, was rewarded for his stellar campaign with his inclusion in regional singles rankings at No. 14.

A four-time league Player of the Week selection, Ghorbel was named an All-MVC first-team selection in singles for the second-straight year after posting 16-5 ledger in the dual campaign.  On the year, he owned a team-best 51-14 combined singles/doubles record.
