DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake women's soccer team was one of 89 schools nationwide that were honored with either the Gold, Silver or Bronze version of the Team Ethics Award by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

The award recognizes teams that exhibit fair play, sporting behavior and adherence to the Laws of the Game, as reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards they are shown by referees throughout the season.

The Bulldogs were one 56 teams claiming the Silver Award, which is given to squads that accumulate no red cards and a maximum of five yellow cards. The Gold Award went to 13 teams that received no cards, while 20 squads were honored with the Bronze award going to teams with zero reds and a maximum of 10 yellows.

Drake was one the lone Missouri Valley Conference representative, men or women, among the 89 teams honored.
