DES MOINES, IOWA - Drake junior women's soccer player Laura Moklestad (Des Moines, Iowa/Roosevelt) was honored for her academic success by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) being tabbed to the NSCAA Women's University Scholar All-Central Regional Third Team.

Maintaining a 3.52 grade point average in accounting, Moklestad garnered third-team accolades to become the first Bulldog since Danielle Oswald, Melissa Nelson, Sinead Brown and Mallory McGannon were chosen all-regional selections in 2006.

A two-time first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference Scholar-Athlete honoree, Moklestad started all 19 games for the Bulldogs.  She registered team-leading marks in goals (4), points (9), shots (47), shots on goal (24), and in game-winners (1) en route to capturing second team All-MVC and MVC All-Tournament playing honors.
