Selected to 2012 preseason All-Pioneer Football League team...returning three-year starter and co-captain in 2012...Drake's all-time leader in completion percentage (62.3%) and completions (595) and ranks second on Drake's career lists for passing yards (6,927) and touchdown passes (54)...needs 742 yards and 14 touchdown passes for No. 1 in both categories...turned in outstanding redshirt-junior season in 2011, earning Pioneer Football League Offensive Player of the Year and leading team to 9-2 record and share of PFL crown...first-team All-PFL selection who set a school record for single-season completion percentage at 65.3%, topping his previous school record of 62.8% from 2009...two-time PFL Offensive Player of the Week winner (10/1/11 vs. Campbell and 11/12/11 vs. Dayton)...career numbers through 2011 include 6,927 yards passing, 595 completions, 955 attempts (62.3%), 54 touchdowns and 28 interceptions (see stat tables below).

2012 — Given the Most Valuable Player Award at the annual Channing Smith Banquet...in final game, completed 25/34 passes for 277 yards and two touchdowns for win at Jacksonville to lead team to second PFL title.  

  • Threw for 366 yards (29/40) and a career high five touchdowns in win versus Butler. 
  • Completed 20/41 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown with a season long 45-yard pass in loss at Dayton.  
  • Secured another Drake career record with two touchdown passes to give him 68 in his career passing Ira Vandever.  Finished 32/54 passing for 373 yards and 28 yards rushing.
  • Threw for 327 yards (22/36) and a touchdown along with a rushing touchdown in win at Valparaiso.
  • Had three touchdowns passing and one running and was 21 of 31 for 250 yards passing in win versus San Diego.
  • Recorded 258 yards passing (23/38) with a touchdown passing and one on the ground in win at Campbell.
  • Set the school record for career passing yards now totalling 8,106 and completed 29 of  41 passes for 268 yards and three touchdowns in win versus Morehead State.
  • Passed for 329 yards and one touchdown (31/53) in loss at Indiana State.
  • Selected as College Sports Madness PFL Offensive Player of the Week for passing for 311 yards (25/43) and a touchdown in loss versus Montana State.
  • Completed 25 of 41 passes for 271 yards and two touchdowns in win versus Grand View.

2011 — Earned PFL Offensive Player of the Year and first-team all-conference, setting a school record for completion percentage (65.3%) and career bests for passing yards (2,934), attempts (354), completions (231), touchdowns (25) and passing efficiency (151.4)...twice earned PFL Offensive Player of the Week, vs. Campbell (10/1) and vs. Dayton (11/12)...named team MVP at Channing Smith Banquet...named a preseason 2011 Player to Watch at quarterback by the College Football Performance Awards.

  • Tied career high with four touchdown passes in PFL co-championship clinching win over Dayton (11/12)...threw for 285 yards on the day and earned PFL Offensive Player of the Week.
  • Threw for two touchdowns and was 17/30 for 194 yards in win versus Jacksonville.
  • Had two touchdown passes in 253 yards of passing (18/30) in win at Marist.
  • Connected on a career best four touchdown passes and was 16/23 for 214 yards in win versus Valparaiso.
  • Threw for a touchdown and was 21/37 for 296 yards in loss at San Diego.
  • Connected on 80-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Paddock and was 16 of 27 for 310 yards in win at Morehead State.
  • Throwing a career high 342 yards and 3 TDs Piatkowski broke the NCAA FCS record for completion percentage (90.3%, 30-33) in a single game (min. 30 comp.) vs. Campbell (10/1) and was named PFL's Offensive Player of the Week, National co-Offensive Player of the Week by The Sports Network/Fathead.com and National co-QB of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards (CFPA).
  • Completed 25 of 36 passes for 276 yards and a touchdown to move into third on Drake's all-time passing list in win at Butler.
  • Moved into fourth on Drake's all-time passing yards list completing 17 of 30 passes for 230 yards and two touchdowns in win versus Missouri S&T.
  • Threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Nathan Paddock with 8 seconds remaining to lead comeback in win versus Grand View (25-40 for 333 yards).
  • Completed 21 of 30 passes for 201 yards in loss at North Dakota.

2010 — Started nine games and recorded a passer efficiency rating of 126.7 (5th PFL) by completing 57.9% of his passes (161-278) for 1,854 yards and 15 touchdowns, with seven interceptions. Earned honorable mention All-PFL honors...ranked 6th in PFL in passing yards per game (185.4) and seventh in total offense (186.9). 

  • Completed 12 of 28 passes for 164 yards and a touchdown at Dayton (11/6).
  • Passed for two touchdowns and rushed for another in win versus San Diego (10/30).
  • Tied career high with three passing touchdowns while running for another in win versus Davidson (10/23)...completed 19 of 27 (70.4%) for 222 yards for passer efficiency rating of 176.1.
  • Had 246 yards total offense, including career-high 38 yards rushing, in win at Campbell (10/16).
  • Passed for 296 yards and two touchdowns in loss at Jacksonville (10/9).
  • Returned to action versus Marist (10/2) following injury to complete career-high 29 passes for 266 yards and rush for a touchdown...41 pass attempts also a career high.
  • Passed for a touchdown, completing 11 of 19 for 131 yards, in loss at Montana State (9/18).
  • Threw three touchdowns in completing 15 of 25 passes (60%) for 231 yards in win at Missouri S&T (9/11) to compile season-best passer efficiency rating of 177.2.
  • Completed 20 of 34 passes for 148 yards and one touchdown in season-opening loss to Lehigh (9/4).

2009 — Started all 11 games and passed for 2,139 yards, the most by a Drake quarterback since Connor Jostes threw for 2,196 in 2004…ranked fourth in PFL in passing average (194.5 yards), fifth in passing efficiency (127.2) and fifth in total offense (190.1 yards)...threw 14 touchdown passes with nine interceptions while completing 203 of 323 (62.8%).

  • Passed for more than 200 yards in six games, including career-high 340 vs. Missouri S&T.
  • Completed 27 of 34 passes (79.4 percent) vs. Missouri S&T.
  • Threw three touchdown passes vs. Jacksonville.
  • Had two touchdown passes in games vs. Valparaiso, San Diego and Campbell.
  • Threw for 201 yards vs. Campbell.
  • Completed 17 of 26 passes for 220 yards at Davidson.
  • Passed for 248 yards (23-34), including one touchdown, in first collegiate start vs. Grand View.

2008 — Redshirted.
