On the strength of four golfers shooting in the 70's, the Bulldogs posted the fourth-lowest round of the day carding a team total of 297 to finish the tournament registering a 914 (307-310-297=914).
Leland's three-round total of 217 (69-76-72=217) was good for a fourth-place showing in the first collegiate tournament of his Drake career.
Rounding out the Bulldogs' top five were Blake Huser (Altoona, Iowa), Ben Lyons (Centennial, Colo.) and Dane Worley, who turned in tournament totals of 233 (83-78-72=233/T-25th), 235 (80-80-75=235/T-30th) and 238 (81-76-81=238/43rd).
