"We're excited to be hosting a game of this magnitude," Drake head coach Chris Creighton said. "They're a great team and a great program, but our guys live for games like this."
The Bobcats come to Drake Stadium after defeating Division II Chadron State, 33-6, in their opener on Thursday.
Saturday's game will also be a homecoming for sixth-year MSU head coach Rob Ash. Ash spent 18 seasons on the sideline at Drake where he won 125 games and four Pioneer Football League titles before taking the reins at MSU. His quarterback, DeNarius McGhee, threw for 176 yards and four touchdowns in Thursday's game but will face a Drake pass rush that leads the nation in sacks with nine.
"We were flying around and having fun so it's good to have that many sacks," senior linebacker Tyler Moorhead, who had three sacks, said. "It's motivating to set that bar that high for games to come."
In 2010, Drake traveled to Bozeman, Mont., to face MSU in Bobcat Stadium with MSU coming away with a 48-21 win thanks to 30 straight points from MSU in a game that MSU led by a narrow 9-7 margin in the second quarter.
Saturday's game will be Drake's 10th against a current member of the Big Sky Conference. The Bulldogs are 7-2 in the previous contests.
The game will be aired live on 1350-AM KRNT and streamed online with live video and stats available at www.GoDrakeBulldogs.com
