DES MOINES, Iowa - Drake sophomore women's soccer player Ashlie Stokes (Sioux City, Iowa/Sioux City North) has been tabbed a 2012 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-Great Lakes Regional third-team selection.

It marks the 10th time in program history that the Bulldogs have had a player on the all-region squad.

Turning in a break-out campaign as a sophomore, Stokes paced the Bulldogs in goals (7), points (17), shots (59), shots on goal (29) and game-winners (4), while finishing second in assists (3). 

Stokes ranked second, third, third, seventh and 10th, respectively, in shots (19), shots per game (3.17), game-winning goals (1), assists (1) and assists per game (0.17), respectively, in league-only affairs.
