Beginning in the fall of 2009 athletes who have been diagnosed with Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, ADHD, and are currently taking medication for this condition will need to have the appropriate documents on file in the athletic training room. 

 

Many of the medications used to treat this condition have been banned by the NCAA.  If the appropriate documentation is not on file and the NCAA drug tests the athlete, the athlete’s drug test will be considered positive and the athlete will be subject to suspension.
