Kyndal Clark Named MVC Women's Basketball Player Of The Week
ST. LOUIS – Kyndal Clark (Webb City, Mo.) has been selected the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season, the league office announced today.
Clark scored a career-high 38 points in Drake’s 79-69 win over Missouri State on Sunday, finishing 13-of-22 from the floor, also career-bests. The junior added eight rebounds, five assists and three steals in 39 minutes versus the Lady Bears.
Against the MVC leaders, Wichita State on Friday, she scored 18 points and pulled down three boards. Her weekend efforts moved her into the top spot in the MVC in scoring average at 18.5 points per game and bumped her mark in conference play to a league-best 20.3 points per game.
Clark has 1,229 career points, which ranks 20th all-time in Drake women’s basketball history. She leads The Valley with three games of 30-plus points this season. Her 38 points against the Lady Bears is the top single-game scoring mark in the conference this year. She was previously named MVC Player of the Week on Dec. 23 and Dec. 28.
Drake travels to Bradley on Friday, Feb. 21 with tipoff schedule for 7 p.m. The Bulldogs close the weekend at MVC-newcomer Loyola on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 2 p.m.
