The Drake Softball Program would like to invite all softball players' grades 8th - 11th to our Elite Pitching & Catching Clinic. Players will receive extensive pitching and catching instruction from current Drake players and coaches as well as information about the mental side of pitching and catching.
General Information
Each participant must bring a glove and running shoes or turf shoes. Catchers must bring their own gear.
This clinic is recommended for Divison I caliber athletes looking to impress college coaches. The Rich Calvert Elite Pitching and Catching Clinic is limited in the number of participants, so register early. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis.
Clinic Features:
- PITCHING
- Technique training and pitching styles
- Pitching specific exercises
- Importance of location, changing speeds, and pitch variety
- CATCHING
- Importance of communication
- Catching specific technique
- Work with pitcher and learn flow of the game
Clinic Check-in
Check-in for clinic will begin at 10:30am on Dec 16th. A check-in table will be set up on the floor of the Fieldhouse for participants to verify registration, waiver information, and pick up a name tag.
Rich Calvert Winter Clinic
This clinic is open to entrants in grades sixth through 12th and is only limited by age, number and gender.
Each participant must bring a glove, bat, helmet, and running shoes or turf shoes. Catchers must bring their own gear. Pitchers you do not need to bring your own catcher.

Clinic Cost: $80
Def./ Hitting
Start: 1:00 PM/ Ends 4:00 PM
Clinic Cost: $80 (Please make checks payable to the Rich Calvert Softball Clinic).
The Rich Calvert Winter Clinic is limited to 30 participants in each session, so register early. Registration will be on a first come, first serve basis.
