DES MOINES – The Drake women's rowing team will close out the fall campaign hosting Creighton in a dual that will start at 9 a.m. along the Des Moines River by the Birdland Marina. The teams will compete in six events: varsity 8, novice 8, varsity 4A, varsity 4B, novice 4A and novice 4B.
A LOOK BACK: fter being idle for nearly a month, the Drake women's rowing team resumed action Oct. 25 competing at the Head of the Iowa Regatta, hosted by the University of Iowa.
Earlier Drake's effort at the Quad Cities Classic was canceled on Oct. 10 because of poor weather.
Due to high water changes in the Iowa River level, the novice four was canceled, so Drake placed competitors in three races: varsity eight, novice eight and varsity four.
