The Bulldogs garnered their lone doubles victory in the No. 3 flight where freshmen Mariel Ante (Riverside, Calif.) and Maddie Johnson (Onalaska, Wis.) registered an 8-4 triumph past Heather Nisbet and Stefanie Youngberg of Illinois State.
In singles, junior Klavdija Rebol (Kranj, Slovenia) rallied after dropping the first set of her match at No. 1 with Evansville's Mina Milovic to record a 3-6 6-4, 6-1 win.
In the No. 3 draw, sophomore Nell Boyd (Arlington Heights, Ill.) pulled out a 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-1 decision against Adele Henke of Bradley.
Senior Ali Patterson (Overland Park, Kan.) went the distance at No. 5 with Liz Vermillion from Creighton before netting a 6-1, 5-7, 6-1 win.
At No. 6, Johnson tallied a 6-0, 6-0 win versus Rachel Gillespie of Evansville, while in the No. 7 flight freshman Jordan Eggleston (LaQuinta, Calif.) bested Southern Illinois' Abigail Plecki, 6-3, 6-0, and Summer Schlotterback of Wichita State, 6-2, 6-2. Also at No. 7, Ante downed Amanda Noonan of Creighton, 6-1, 6-2.
