2012-13 Drake Women's Basketball Schedule

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake University women's basketball team released its 2012-13 schedule today first-year head coach Jennie Baranczyk announced. The Bulldogs will start the season with an exhibition game against Quincy on Friday, Nov. 2 at the Knapp Center.

"This is a very good schedule with some great non-conference games, both here at the Knapp Center and on the road, that will challenge our team early," Baranczyk said. "We have a young roster with nine underclassmen and just one senior, but we feel the non-conference schedule will help us prepare for the always tough Missouri Valley Conference."

The Bulldogs will start the regular season at home when the South Dakota Coyotes travel to the Knapp Center on Sun., November 7. Drake and South Dakota faced each other in the first round of the 2012 WNIT with the Coyotes winning, 61-53.

The Bulldogs have started Valley play on the road nine times in the past 10 seasons. Drake will host Indiana State on Friday, Jan. 11 in its first home conference game.
