Clark Named MVC Player Of The Week
ST. LOUIS – Junior guard Kyndal Clark (Webb City, Mo.) has been selected the Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced this Monday, Dec. 23.
The Webb City, Mo., native poured in a career-high 35 points in the win over SIUE last week. Clark, who became the first Bulldog to score 30 or more points since Rachael Hackbarth dropped 32 points at Indiana State on Jan. 22, 2012, tied her career-best with 12 free throws on 14 attempts. She equaled her season-high marks for rebounds with eight and five three-pointers.
Against the No. 22/25 Iowa Hawkeyes she had eight points along with four rebounds, one steal and one assist. For the season she is averaging a team-leading 16.1 points per game, which ranks fourth in the conference. This is the second career player of the week award for Clark as she earned her first last season on Feb. 25, 2013.
After taking a seven day break, the Bulldogs will welcome the Milwaukee Panthers to the Knapp Center this Sunday, Dec. 29.
