DES MOINES, Iowa - Drake head men's golf coach Matt Lewis has announced a challenging five-tournament schedule for the 2013 fall campaign.
“Our schedule is similar to last fall with the exception of adding the SIU Edwardsville Invitational in place of the Nebraska Invitational," Lewis commented. "We should be confident going into the tournaments with the familiarity and knowledge we gained playing on all but one of the courses last year. The opportunity to play against some great teams at these tournaments is a challenge we look forward to.”
The Bulldogs get their fall underway at the SIU Edwardsville Invitational (Sept. 9-10) in Edwardsville, Ill.
The Bulldogs follow one week later traveling for the second consecutive year to Fort Collins, Colo., to compete at the Ram Master Invitational (Sept. 16-17) hosted by Colorado State.
Drake rounds out its opening month playing at the Jim Colbert Intercollegiate hosted by Kansas State (Sept. 30-Oct. 1) in Manhattan, Kan.
Two weeks later the Bulldogs travel to Kansas City, Mo., to partake in the Bill Ross Intercollegiate (Oct. 14-15).
In its last event of the fall, Drake visits Powells Point, N.C., to compete in the ODU/Outer Banks Intercollegiate hosted by Old Dominion (Oct. 20-22).
