BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Junior Hadley Jennings (Trenton, Mo.) fired a final-round 76 to lead the charge for the Drake women's golf team over the concluding 18 holes of the Indiana Invitational on Sunday (April 14) at the Indiana University Golf Course.
Collectively, the Bulldogs registered a 327 score on the tournament's final day to post a 992 (335-330-327=992) performance.
“I was very proud of Hadley (Jennings) to bounce back with a 76 today,” Drake head coach Leanne Smith. “I thought we continued to fight in our round today, but we know we have work to do this week heading into the Missouri Valley Conference Championship. I'm hopeful we can address those areas in practice this week and capitalize at the conference meet by turning in more scores in the 70's.”
Jennings concluded her tournament with a 239 (83-80-76) scorecard, a mark that was good for a tie for 42nd place.
Senior Chelsey Falk (Glenwood, Minn.) fired a 244 (80-82-82) total to finish tied for 57th place.
Rounding out Drake's efforts were sophomores Danielle Brooks (Red Wing, Minn.) and Ashley Brooks (Red Wing, Minn.) along with freshman Katie Clausen (Hinton, Iowa). The trio posted 54-hole scores of 249, 260 and 273, respectively, to garner 73rd-, 81st- and 83rd-place showings.
The Bulldogs close out their spring campaign traveling to Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., to compete at the MVC Championship (April 21-23).
