KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Led by a pair of final-round 79's from senior Chelsey Falk (Glenwood, Minn.) and sophomore Danielle Brooks (Red Wing, Minn.), the Drake women's golf team finished ninth of 10 teams at the Kangaroo Invitational hosted by UMKC at the Shoal Creek Golf Club on Tuesday (April 9) with a 992 (334-324-334=992) total.
Junior Hadley Jennings (Trenton, Mo.) was the Bulldogs' top finisher with a 54-hole score of 238 (82-74-82=238), which was good for a 15th-place showing.
One stroke off her final pace was Falk, who recorded a 239 (81-79-79=239), to conclude her tournament tied for 16th.
Completing Drake's efforts were sophomores Ashley Brooks (Red Wing, Minn.) and Danielle Brooks, along with freshman Katie Clausen (Hinton, Iowa). They finished their tournaments with 32nd-, 56th and 58th-place showings, respectively.
The Bulldogs return to action this weekend as Drake visits Bloomington, Ind., to compete in the Indiana Invitational on Saturday (April 13) and Sunday (April 14).
