DES
MOINES, Iowa - The Drake women's volleyball team added two
high school standouts to its 2013 roster today. The Bulldogs signed Tegan
LaBerge (Maple Grove, Minn.) and Capris Quaites (Omaha, Neb.) to National
Letters of Intent.
"We are excited to have Tegan and Capris join our
program," Drake head coach Tony Sunga
said. "Both are good students and will fit into the overall community at Drake.
We look forward to having them join us this summer."
LaBerge, an outside hitter from Maple Grove Senior High
School, was selected to the Northwest Suburban All-Conference team this past
season. She finished with 375 kills and averaged 4.2 kills per set, which was
the second highest average in the conference. LaBerge has been selected to the
honor roll all four years and is a three-year letterwinner.
Quaites is a two-time Northeast Nebraska Class A
all-state and all-metro honorable mention award winner. A four-year
letterwinner she helped the Omaha Westside Warriors to two district runner-up
finishes.
Drake will conclude its 2012 season with two road matches
this weekend. Friday night the Bulldogs will face Missouri State and Saturday
night, Wichita State. The Missouri State match will be broadcast live on
Mediacom, Channel 22. Both matches will start at 7 p.m.
