DES MOINES, Iowa - Drake head women's golf coach Leanne Smith has announced a challenging five-tournament schedule for 2013 that will culminate at the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship.

"We have put together a very competitive schedule for the spring," Smith commented.  "I am excited about once again hosting our tournament in Monterey.  We will play in some new tournaments this spring and think they will be a great warm-up for our conference tournament."

The Bulldogs get their spring underway at the Jackrabbit Invitational (March 11-12), hosted by South Dakota State in Primm, Nev.

The Bulldogs then host the Monterey Bay Invitational in Monterey, Calif. (March 17-19).

Drake opens the month of April playing at the Kangaroo Invitational (April 7-8), hosted by UMKC in Kansas City, Mo.

The following week sees the Bulldogs travel to Bloomington, Ind., to partake in the Indiana Invitational (April 13-14).

Drake will attempt to garner its first-ever MVC Tournament crown and NCAA Tournament berth when the league title is up for grabs in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. (April 21-23).
