DES MOINES, Iowa
– The Drake University men's basketball team will have 10 additional games
televised this season with two of them being broadcast as part of the Missouri
Valley Conference TV Network and eight others televised locally by Mediacom.
The added dates put the Bulldogs on television at least 16 times
this season with six games carried by the ESPN family of networks.
The recently added games include a pair of MVC games aired
on Fox Sports Midwest as part of the MVC Network. The first of those two games
will come on Jan. 23 when the Bulldogs host Creighton in the Knapp Center at 7
:05 p.m. Ten days later Drake will appear again on Fox Sports Midwest at home
against Indiana State on Feb. 2.
Mediacom begins its local broadcast schedule of home games
on Saturday, Dec. 8 against IPFW. The Dec. 19 contest against North Carolina
Central will also be carried by the cable outlet. Mediacom's first MVC telecast
comes on Jan. 5 against Missouri State followed by the Jan. 16 game versus
Evansville. February dates are highlighted by Illinois State (Feb. 6), Northern
Iowa (Feb. 16) and Bradley (Feb. 20). The regular-season finale against
Southern Illinois on March 2 will also be broadcast by Mediacom.
Drake opens the 2012-13 season on Nov. 10 against William
Jewell at 11 a.m. The Bulldogs also face Southwest Baptist on Nov. 3 in an
exhibition game at the Knapp Center at 7:05 p.m.

go on sale Oct. 15 and single-game tickets will be available starting Oct. 19.
