DES
MOINES, Iowa - The Drake volleyball program announced its
2012 fall schedule today.
"I am very excited to begin the 2012 season," Drake head
coach Tony Sunga said. "We
will be young in certain positions but very competitive in practice and
competition. The team has been working hard through the summer months in
anticipation of the August 8th report date."
Drake returns two seniors, Bentley Mancini (Burnsville, Minn.) and Jadranka Tramosljanin (Ruma, Serbia) and redshirt junior Sarah Madden (Van Meter, Iowa) along
with three sophomores Halli Meyer

Vernon, Iowa) and Erin Roggenburg (Ankeny,
Iowa). They will have a significant impact on a young Bulldog squad that
welcomes six freshmen: Cassie Effken, Katie Dulek, Katie Allen, Shelby Daum,
Rebecca Brown and Scarlett Howerter, who will all have a chance to see
significant opportunities during the season.
"Our upperclassmen leadership has been awesome through
the spring and summer, providing much leadership on and off the floor," Sunga
said. "They are as excited as is the coaching staff to make this a memorable
year of hard work and relentless pursuit."
The Bulldogs will start the season at the University of
Wisconsin-Green Bay tournament on Friday, August 24 against the Phoenix at 7
p.m. Drake will play Auburn University on Saturday, August 25 at 10 a.m. to
