LINCOLN, Neb. – Drake junior Marissa Smith (Ajax, Ontario) claimed second-place in the finals of the 60-meter hurdles at the Frank Sevigne Invitational on Saturday.

Smith's time of 8.57 was a personal best.

Senior Kirsten Lake (Parker, Colo.) was fifth in the 600-meters (1:37.55), while freshman Jessica Mathes (Cherokee, Iowa) finished ninth (1:38.49).

Freshman Mariel Fulton (Louisville, Colo.) snared a 14th-place finish in the 3,000-meters (10:31.70).

The Bulldogs will compete at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa on Feb. 10-12.
