LINCOLN, Neb. -- Junior Jon DeGrave (Lake Villa, Ill.) finished fifth in the preliminary rounds of the 400-meter dash to highlight action for the Drake men's track squad at the Frank Sevigne Invitational on Friday, Feb. 3.
DeGrave crossed the line in 48.44, while sophomore Brett Wright (Longwood, Colo.) was 20th in 49.61.
Fellow senior Shaun James was 25th in the 60-meter dash (7.05)
while sophomore Travis Marsh (Ankeny, Iowa) placed 27th in the 60-meter hurdles
(8.45).
Junior Isaac Twombly (Baldwin, Kan.) claimed 13th-place in the
weight throw with a heave of 57 feet 7.75 inches.
Start time for the second day of the Frank Sevigne Invitational is set for 10 a.m.
