Ryan Gilmore joined the Drake Athletic Department staff as the Director of Marketing & Promotions in June 2011 after serving as the Director of Marketing & Corporate Sales at Eastern Illinois University since July of 2008. 

With the Bulldogs, Gilmore spearheads the Drake marketing and promotions efforts, manages advertising plans, and coordinates in-game promotions, including video boards.  During his tenure at EIU the Panthers saw an increase in average attendance for football and men's and women's basketball, a 20% increase in corporate income and an increase in season ticket sales.    

Prior to EIU, Gilmore spent a year as a marketing and game management assistant at Idaho State University.  Before that he was the lead marketing representative on a two-year grassroots national promotional tour that helped launch the Nike SPARQ brand. 

Gilmore earned a master's in athletic administration from Idaho State in 2008 and a bachelor's in public relations from Southern Oregon University in 2003, where he was a four-year letter winner and captain of the football team.  He also played football professionally overseas in the EFL from 2003 to 2004 for an organization in Barcelona, Spain.  He resides in Des Moines.
