Sean Palchick is in his seventh year working as the Assistant Athletic Communications Director at Drake and currently serves as the athletic communications contact for the men's and women's soccer, men's and women's tennis and men's and women's golf team.  Additionally, he serves a key role in the layout of the annual 124-page Drake Relays program, while working as an assistant media coordinator (2007-present) for the event.

During his tenure at Drake he has/or is currently serving as the primary contact for the men's basketball, women's basketball, volleyball, football, women's golf, men's golf, men's tennis, women's tennis, men's soccer and women's soccer teams.

In his first six seasons at Drake, he has led media publicity for 73 All-Conference performers, 41 Academic All-League performers, six conference Player of the Year recipients, five Academic All-Americans and Lindsay Whorton, a 2009 Rhodes Scholar and 2008 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American for women's basketball.

He has coordinated media efforts for 2007 NCAA Tournament and 2008 WNIT women's basketball teams as well as promotion of Drake's men's tennis squad, which won three consecutive Missouri Valley Conference regular-season titles (2007, 2008 & 2009) and while nationally-ranked in 2008, finished the regular season as one of only two teams in the country with an undefeated record, while owning the then nation's longest regular-season winning streak (42) and maintaining the second-longest home-court winning streak (47) in the country.

Palchick has gained valuable experience as the Drake media coordinator for three MVC Championships (2007 Women's Basketball, 2009 Women's Golf and 2009 Men's Soccer) as well as serving as the assistant Drake media coordinator for six Drake Relays, 2010 USATF Outdoor Track and Field Championships, 2008, 2011 and 2012 NCAA Track and Field Championships, 2007 State Farm MVC Outdoor Track and Field Championship and 2007 NCAA Midwest Outdoor Track and Field Regional Championship held in historic Drake Stadium.

He has also served as a media volunteer at 2012 NCAA Des Moines Women's Basketball regional and the 2005 and 2011 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament First and Second Rounds, 2006 NCAA Women's Regional and 2007 NCAA Women's Final Four held in Cleveland, Ohio.

A native of Chesterland, Ohio, he earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from The Ohio State University in 1996 and a master's degree in sport administration from the University of Tennessee in 2000.
