Court-savvy point guard with high basketball IQ, speed and quickness won starting point guard position in preseason after a redshirt season in 2010-11 (knee)...brings toughness, a competitive nature, ball-handling, defense and scoring ability to his floor-general attributes.

2012-13 -- Did not play in the first 20 games due to a knee injury ... had two points in limited minutes in the exhibition against SBU. 

 

2011-12 (Redshirt-Freshman) -- Impressive start in first season of action, starting every game but two and handling the point-guard position...averaged 23 minutes per game, over 4.7 points and led the team in assists with 2.5 a game.

  • Had huge breakout game in first MVC start to lead Drake to victory over Indiana State...scored career-high 24 points and added four rebounds and three assists, making all nine field-goal attempts, including one three-pointer, as well as 5-of-6 from the free-throw line.
  • Dished a career-high seven assists in win over Central Arkansas (12/21).
  • Solid all-around game vs. Virginia (11/21) at Paradise Jam, scoring 9 points, grabbing 5 rebounds, going 5-6 from the free-throw line and adding one assist with just one turnover.
  • Season-best 13 points in first career start vs. Upper Iowa (11/12).

2010-11 (Redshirt) -- Took a redshirt season because of a knee injury.

High School — Point guard who earned third-team Illinois Basketball Coaches Association Class 3A/4A all-state honors as senior at Lanphier High School in Springfield, Ill...also tabbed Associated Press Class 3A all-state honorable mention selection...scored seven points for East All-Stars in Dr. Pepper Midwest All-Star Classic in St. Louis...also played for the South Illinois All-Stars in 2010 Chicago High School Classic...two-time first-team all-league choice who started all but two games since his freshman season, only giving way to teammates on their "Senior Nights" during his freshman and junior years...had 29 points in battle against Drake teammate Rayvonte Rice in loss to Centennial...scored 20 of his game-high 27 points in second half in 72-67 victory past Sacred Heart-Griffin...led Lanphier to 13-13 record in 2009-10...earned first-team all-league honors after averaging 21.9 points, 5.0 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 2.4 steals as a senior...shot 42.7 percent from the floor, including 30.6 percent from three-point range...collected season highs of 32 points and six rebounds against Chatham Glenwood Jan. 9, 2009, and Jacksonville Feb. 27, 2009...became his high school's first Division I player since Richard McBride signed with Illinois in 2003...was a three-year starter for the St. Louis Eagles AAU team (2007-09)...High School coach: Chuck Shanklin.
