DES MOINES, IOWA - Drake men's soccer senior Garrett Webb (Prairie Village, Kan./Shawnee Mission East) hauled in another honor this week as he was named to the TopDrawerSoccer.com 2009 Men's College Soccer Team of the Season as a third-team national selection.

Webb, who led the Bulldogs to their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory over Western Illinois, 2-1, on Thursday (Nov. 19) at the Cownie Soccer Complex, was the lone Missouri Valley Conference player honored.

The 2009 MVC Player of the Year, Webb has started all 21 games he has appeared in for the Bulldogs this season and leads the team in goals (12), points (28), shots (48), shots on goal (24) and game-winners (3).

Webb and the rest of his Drake teammates continue NCAA Tournament play on Sunday (Nov. 22) with a second-round date at No. 13 Ohio State.  Game time in Columbus, Ohio, against the Buckeyes is slated for 12:00 p.m. CT at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium.
