OMAHA, NEB. - Senior Blair Nelson (Southlake, Texas/Carroll) and freshman Laura Moklestad (Des Moines, Iowa/Roosevelt) garnered all-tournament laurels after the conclusion of the State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Women's Soccer Championship on Sunday (Nov. 8), which was won by Illinois State over Creighton, 1-0.

Nelson was a workhorse for the Bulldogs in their 3-1 opening round victory over Indiana State last Sunday (Nov. 1) registering an assist on three shots before being forced to assume the center back position on the Drake defensive unit after junior Bailey Dorrington (Cedar Rapids, Iowa/Xavier) went down with an injury early in the Bulldogs' semifinal match with Illinois State last Friday (Nov. 6).

Moklestad parlayed her speed and quickness in both tournament contests to be a constant scoring threat that was able to get behind the opponent's defense.  Her efforts were rewarded as she netted Drake's third tally in a 3-1 win over Indiana State.
