WHAT'S AHEAD: The Drake men's golf team will close out the fall campaign, traveling to Houston, Texas, Monday and Tuesday, competing in the inaugural Husky Invitational at the Sienna Plantation Golf Club.       

Participating teams include Centenary, East Central,  Houston, Lousiana-Monroe, McNeese State, Nicholls State, Oklahoma Christian, Texas-Pan American and host Houston Baptist.

A LOOK BACK: The Bulldogs have been idle since tying for 14th at the Wyoming Desert Classic Oct. 6 in Palm Desert, Calif.  Juniors Ben Freeman (Fargo, N.D.) and Brad Reierson (Chaska, Minn.) tied for 53rd to lead Drake, Freeman posted a 79-74-75=228, while Reierson had an 80-78-70=228.

Drake senior Luke Joy (Dorsett, England) tied for 61st with an 82-75-74=231. Drake freshman Jared Gustafson (Omaha, Neb.) tied for 73rd with a 78-76-79=233. Senior Connor Elekes (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) finished 91st with an 84-80-83=247.
