DES MOINES, IOWA -- A two-out single by freshman Macie Silliman (Winterset, Iowa) scored senior Kelsey Kahler (North Liberty, Iowa) with the winning run in the tenth inning to power the Drake softball team to a 6-5 victory over Missouri Western in the second game of a doubleheader Sunday.                    

Junior Jenna DeLong (Dalton Gardens, Idaho) tossed a three hitter and drilled a two-run double to spark Drake to a 9-1 victory in six innings in the first game.

Junior first baseman Erin Bly (Frankfort, Ill.) staked the Bulldogs to a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run home run.  Bly also collected a pair of singles to back a seven-hit attack.

Junior catcher Erin Mollohan (Tinley Park, Ill.) added a two-run home run in the fifth inning for Drake.

The Bulldogs pounded out nine hits in the second game.  Freshman outfielder Lindsey Vande Wall (Prairie City, Iowa) banged a home run in the fifth inning to give Drake a 3-0 lead.

Sophomore Rose Magaddino  (Tucson, Ariz.) added a single and double for Drake in the second game.

Senior Mandy Osborn (Blair, Neb.) went the distance on the pitching mound for Drake to earn the victory.
