2011 — Earned unanimous All-PFL first team accolades being honored for the second consecutive year while starting all 11 games...selected for first-team Capital One Academic All-District honors by CoSIDA...for the second year, named to 2011 Academic All-PFL first team...recorded 78 stops (55 solo), including 10.5 sacks (-87) and 21.0 tackles for loss (-109), along with two interceptions, three forced fumbles, two pass breakups and two blocked kicks...2011 preseason first-team All-PFL selection by Phil Steele's College Football Preview.

  • Recorded six solo tackles including three sacks for losses of 27 yards in win versus Dayton.
  • Named PFL Co-Defensive Player of the Week (10/31/11) for his defensive efforts at Marist.
  • Posted six tackles including two sacks for 21 yards in losses in win versus Jacksonville.
  • Named PFL Co-Defensive Player of the Week for his three sacks, one which forced a fumble, and seven tackles in win at Marist.
  • Snared his second interception of the season and led team with 8 tackles (7 solo) in win versus Valparaiso.
  • Had six tackles with one for loss at San Diego.
  • Collected six tackles including three for 13 yards in losses, a forced fumble and 1.5 sacks in win at Morehead State.
  • Finished with eight tackles (7 solo) in win versus Campbell.
  • Came up with fourth quarter interception to seal win along with seven tackles at Butler.
  • Led Drake with nine tackles (7 solo), including a sack (-8), and a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown in win versus Missouri S&T.

2010 — Earned first-team All-Pioneer Football League honors and first-team Academic All-PFL...started all 11 games and led team in tackles with 73 (51 solo), including 1.5 sacks (-13) and 4.5 tackles for loss (-21)...added two pass breakups, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. 

  • Finished season with 10 tackles (9 solo), two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in win versus Butler (11/13).
  • Collected five tackles with two for losses at Dayton (11/6)
  • Posted career-high 12 tackles (10 solo) in win versus San Diego (10/30).
  • Led team with 6.5 tackles (5 solo) in loss at Jacksonville (10/9).
  • Posted seven tackles (6 solo) in win at Valparaiso (9/25).
  • Caught a pass for 19-yard gain and contributed 3.5 tackles (2 solo) in win at Missouri S&T (9/11).

2009 — Named Pioneer Football League Freshman Defensive Player of the Year and honorable mention All-PFL...named to CoSIDA and ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District 7 second team, and to Academic All-PFL second team...ranked second in PFL in forced fumbles (4) and sixth in tackles for loss (14.5; -57 yards)...also ranked sixth in NCAA in forced fumbles...Started all 11 games and finished season with 67 tackles, including 44 solo.

  • Tallied seven tackles, including three for 18 yards in losses. vs. Dayton.
  • Had seven tackles in win vs. Campbell, including one for loss.
  • Collected eight tackles, including three for seven yards in losses, at Davidson.
  • Had season-high nine tackles vs. Grand View, including interception.
  • Posted eight tackles vs. South Dakota, including two for losses.
  • Had two tackles for losses vs. Marist and forced two fumbles.
  • Rcovered fumble vs. Jacksonville.

2008 — Redshirted.

Prep — Earned first-team Iowa Class 1-A all-state honors at Mason City Newman High by both Des Moines Register and Iowa Newspaper Association...named Mason City Globe Gazette Defensive Player of Year...was sixth in 110 hurdles at 2008 Iowa Class 1A state track meet...was seventh at 189 in 2008 Iowa Class 1A state wrestling meet...earned all-league honors in baseball.

Personal Pharmacy major...named to 2008, '09, '10 and '11 Pioneer Football League Fall Academic Honor Roll...recipient of Drake Presidential Scholarship...son of Dan and Kathy Moorehead...born in January, 1990.
