PATTERSON, CALIF. -- Sophomore Nick Shimon (Peoria, Ariz.) tied for 15th to pace the Drake men's golf team at the Diablo Grande Invitational Tuesday. Shimon shot a 87-75-71=233. Drake placed 10th in the meet with a 343-305-304=952.

Junior Ryan Smith (Chaska, Minn.) fired an 81-79-74=234 to tie for 17th. Drake sophomore Connor Elekes (Calgary, Alberta, Canada) tied for 28th with a 90-75-74=239. Andy Moren from Cal State-Sanislaus won individual honors with a 79-67-70=216.
