DES MOINES, IOWA -- The Drake University Athletic Department has signed a partnership with Career Athletes to provide a national representation of unique career development resources for current and alumni athletes.
Career Athletes is also home to many of top internship programs in the nation, hosting thousands of internships and career opportunities with many of America’s best companies. In addition to providing opportunities for job seekers, Career Athletes also works with employers and alumni mentors to foster career connections for student-athletes.
“Central to our philosophy is the holistic development of student-athletes as they pursue their career, academic, and athletic goals," said Drake associate athletic director Heather Weems.
"Career Athletes augments the services offered on campus and throughout the curriculum to help our student-athletes articulate their experiences, and to network with a wide range of companies and individuals. Used well, it is another resource in their career development tool kit, and will help us to foster alumni connections as our student-athletes graduate and advance in their field of choice.”
