DES MOINES, Iowa - The Drake women's tennis team set the stage to play for as many as five singles' titles at the Drake Fall Invitational after posting a 15-3 mark in singles action on Saturday (Sept. 15) at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center.

The Bulldogs claimed their fourth championship in the event after sophomore Amanda Dick (Kenosha, Wis.) registered a pair of victories in the 'Round Robin' flight.

Sophomore Nell Boyd (Arlington Heights, Ill.) moved into the title tilt in the 'B' draw dispatching of Matricardi and Analese Snyder of Nebraska Omaha and Creighton, respectively.

Freshman Mariel Ante (Riverside, Calif.) went 2-0 in the 'C' flight to move into the final on Sunday (Sept. 16).

Freshman Maddie Johnson (Onalaska, Wis.) and senior Ali Patterson (Overland Park, Kan.) will battle each other for the championship in the 'E' draw after each netted a pair of victories.

Rounding out Drake's contingent was freshman Jordan Eggleston (LaQuinta, Calif.), who moved in the title match of the 'F' flight on the heels of two wins.

Action concludes at the Drake Fall Invitational on Sunday (Sept. 16) with singles competition resuming at 9:00 a.m.
