DES MOINES, IOWA ? Turning in a pair of double-figure scoring performances, former Drake women's basketball player Jill Martin helped lift her DCU Mercy squad to a pair of victories this past week to propel the team atop the Basketball Ireland Women's SuperLeague standings with a perfect 4-0 mark.

Martin matched a career-best with a 19-point outing in DCU Mercy's 96-55 triumph over Meteors Basketball Club on Sunday (Oct. 26).

On Wednesday (Oct. 29), Martin chipped in 17 points in an 85-61 home victory over Tolka Rovers BC.

Through four games, Martin ranked fifth among SuperLeague players in scoring (18.3).  Martin and her team return to action on Wednesday (Nov. 8) with a home contest against the LeisureWorld Churchfield (1-2).
