ST. LOUIS, MO. ? Drake senior forward Jill Martin (Norwalk, Iowa) has been named the Missouri Valley Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week after collecting 20 points and 10 rebounds in the Bulldogs' 71-50 nonconference home victory against UC Davis Sunday.

Martin recorded her 29th career double-double and third of the season.

The Bulldogs will open the Missouri Valley Conference season playing host to Missouri State this Friday in a 7 :07 p.m. tip off at the Drake Knapp Center.
